Well, we have now almost reached the halfway point for the term. It has been a busy term so far with all students and staff settling into their new classes and routines.
Students all now have been issued with their 2011 Student ID cards. These cards are required for use by students when wishing to borrow from the Library or travel on public transport. We keep all of the Year 7 cards until they return from Canberra. It is easier for supervising staff to have all of the Student ID cards in one place. If a student loses his ID card, he will need to bring $7 to the Library to order a new one.
World Book Online is an excellent new resource that can be utilised at school or at home. In this resource, students also have the ability to create a Research Folder, so that they can save any of their information in one place. The ID and password were sent home in last weeks school newsletter. Students can also collect this information from the Library staff or their class teacher. Click on the link below to access this site.
Goodluck to all of the staff and the Years 7, 8 and 9 students who are all off on camp in Week 7. Here’s hoping for great weather!

Welcome back to school for 2011. We hope you all enjoyed your holiday and are ready to come back to school! A special welcome to our new Year 6 and Year 8 students. If you have any questions about the Library, please come in and ask.
There will be a lot happening in the Library this year as we prepare for our transition into our new building (hopefully by the start of Term 2, 2011!). There may be a few disruptions as we complete this process, so please be patient with us. We are very excited.
We have purchased World Book Online this year for students and staff to use. This is an excellent resource and we encourage you to have a look around. There is a link above, to this site (click on the World Book graphic). We will send home the user name and password in the newsletter. You can also call into the Library and get a bookmark with the details on it.
Year 8 students will be able to see some changes this year with the RIBIT program. All of the information you require about the books you can choose from is now located on this website (under the RIBIT tab above). Please add any other information that you find to the comment section of the appropriate page, so that I can add it to our site.
Enjoy the start to the year.
